Fresh off the success of The Gretna Mainstreet New Music Theatre Festival in April, NOLA Voice Theatre, (The City’s only theatre troupe dedicated to the art and preservation of voice theatre.) presents their first summer season of three monthly showcase productions benefiting the new Valiant Theatre and Lounge.

Show Two will feature two new stories of ‘Untold New Orleans,’ plus a radio adaptation of the acclaimed comedy classic, ‘The Man Who Came to Dinner.’

Show One began with the first episode of the original series “Untold New Orleans,” starring New Orleans theatre icon Edward R. Cox (*) as Monsieur Darque. (Keeper of the Secret Archives of New Orleans.) Featured in this episode, “The Rougarou Murders” by Beverly Brooks and Vatican Lokey (*), and “The Ghosts of Le Petit Theatre” by Vatican Lokey (*). A twenty minute intermission is followed by Act Two, a full-scale recreation of one of the great productions from the Golden Age of Radio, Joseph Kesserling’s “Arsenic and Old Lace.”

NOLA Voice Theatre Summer Series is presented under the auspices of Actors’ Equity Association’s Members’ Project Code.

Showtime is 8pm at the Valiant Theatre and Lounge. Ask for the drink special, the “NVT Cocktail,” a smooth, fruity concoction perfect for the evening.
