Our theatre is located just a few feet over the Orleans Parish line in Old Arabi, a nationally registered historic neighborhood. The first thing you’ll see on the Orleans side of the line is the Jackson Barracks, and on the St Bernard side you’ll be greeted by the Sheriff’s Office. Then one block over it’s Studio Inferno followed by the Valiant Theatre and Lounge. But keep going! There are tons of great businesses to explore in Old Arabi. Here are a few things to check out when you’re here.

History

Until the 1880s, Arabi was a part of New Orleans. The neighborhood underwent a rebellion of sorts and separated itself from the Big Easy. They adopted the name Arabi after Arabi Pasha who was fighting for Egyptian independence at the time.
